SPECIAL CANNABIS SEED OFFERS FROM GOLDENSEED

Auto flowering cannabis is a cannabis plant that is not dependant on the light cycle to go into flowering you simply plant a seed and water it will grow under 24 hours light a day then start to flower when that particular strain is ready most from around 3 weeks to 5 weeks from planting then it will grow out its bud for a further 5 to 7 weeks depending on particular strain of auto so all you need to do is sit back and let it grow when you see flowers starting change the light bulb to a flowering bulb and wait then site back and enjoy.Autoflowering plants flower within 70-75 days from seed, reaching its optimal size if given enough light. The ideal light cycle is in fact of 20 hours of light and 4 of darkness during the whole life of the plant. Outdoors the best time is May-August, but it is possible to do multiple cycles up to November.

LEMON-SKUNK

Auto Lemon Skunk was developed using a lemon pheno Skunk#1 that we’ve been keeping as a clone mother for almost 15 years and the LEMON SKUNK AUTO FLOWERING PLANToriginal Lowryder. Although Skunk#1 is the building block for plenty of modern stable hybrids, many find it to be quite variable in its phenotypes and the discovery of a lemon scented pheno was something to treasure. Having grown it every season since 1994, the transition to creating an auto flowering version seemed obvious and so the initial F1 cross with Lowryder was made. 2 years and 6 generations later, we have something we are now very pleased with and we hope you like it too. Auto Lemon Skunk is one of our shorter varieties, rarely exceeding 14 inches tall and usually forming one central cola with minimal branching. Plants are very symmetrical (just look down from above) and have a good but not extreme coating of resin. The high and aroma is the Auto Lemon Skunks strongpoint. The high is a balance between the speedy high of a sativa and the couch lock of an indica, a true all-day smoke and of course the aroma is that of over ripe lemons. The difficulty rating of 6/10 is because the Auto Lemon Skunk does not like having its roots restricted or to become dry, it’s slightly sensitive to over feeding and spider mites will choose this strain over almost any other. The best way around these issues would be to start seeds in 5litre pots or bigger, never allow the growing medium to get too dry, feed lightly and ensure high humidity during it’s early stages. Even so, a spider mite targeting insecticide may be required at some stage. A rewarding strain if you are prepared to look after it. AK-47

The new wave of auto-flowering hybrids is finally here, and leading from the front is the Automatic AK74.  This was our first foray into the auto-flowering world and still our favourite. Crossing the very best AK47 we could find with the auto-flowering genes of Lowryder, we haveAK-47 CANNABIS PLANT produced a strain that is the perfect blend of the two. Everything that we loved about the AK47 has been left intact from its beautiful aroma and resin encrusted buds through to its unique bud structure and astonishing potency. The cross with Lowryder means that now it can be grown virtually anywhere. Balconies, patios, window boxes, indoors or outdoors, connoisseur grade marijuana is now attainable for every grower. Auto-flowering strains flower in response to age rather than light cycle. Automatic AK74 will grow vegetatively for approximately 14 days then enter into a rapid, almost violent flowering period. For the next 56 days they will branch out profusely, throw out pistils in their thousands, calyxes will swell and a coating of resin glands will make the mature plant glisten as if dusted with fine diamonds. Odour levels are quite high and a large quantity of flowering females can certainly produce quite an aroma. There are 2 distinct variations in aroma, one is somewhat spicy and the other is sweet but both types produce the same effect. Previously, especially in the northern hemisphere, the average grower was limited to the strains one could grow successfully. Now with Automatic AK74 you can grow marijuana that before, many would have no chance of fully ripening under natural outdoor conditions. With a lifespan of a mere 70 days from seed to harvest it is not only possible to get an early harvest of high quality marijuana but multiple harvests per season. Indoors, a perpetual harvest has never been easier to maintain. The increased height compared to earlier auto-flowering strains brings with it increased yield. Indoors under lights is the optimum growing environment for Automatic AK74, coupled with a light regime of 20/4 and adequate root space, yield can easily surpass 40g per plant but even outdoors with no supplemental lighting during summer, 30g per plant is very common. We believe that our Automatic AK47 is the most potent auto-flowering hybrid available as well as the heaviest yielder.Thank you for your interest in AK-47 auto-flowering dwarf that yields a wonderfully strong, head-turning smoke with intoxicating taste. LITTLE ANGEL FEMALE

Little Angel is an autoflowering strain, developed for those who have little space, but great ambitions and is the sister of our Little Devil. This plant, like her sister, is unique in LITTLE ANGEL FEMALE AUTO FLOWERING CANNABIS SEEDSmany ways, but the first thing that comes in mind is her ability to flower automatically: the plant will start to flower after about 2 1/2 weeks from the germination. This happens because the flowering is independent by the number of the hours of light received. The whole growing, from seedling to bud takes about 60 days. Given the extremely short vegetative phase, Little Angel will stay short and compact, the height is in general between 30-35 cm. The final result has a strong earthy taste, and a high that has nothing to envy to that of a bigger size strain. Little Angel doesn't need 12 hours of dark a day to flower, she stays little, so she can grow almost always and everywhere! For a choice a payment methods please email Goldenseed or register at our sister site Seedsdirect.info by clicking the Buy button...

MORE OF............................

GoldenSeed's "Jack Frost" has been painstakingly developed over the last five years, using only the best of each crop for breeding in order to constantly improve the potency, appearance and aroma of this unique strain. Jack Herrer, White Widow and Northern Lights#5, direct from the Sensiseed shop in Amsterdam, have been progressively bred in before introducing a wild, personally collected Rainbow Kashmiri to the mix which is now in it's third year of exclusive inbreeding, JackFrost pollen hand brushed onto Jackfrost females, to make them reliable. No other strain delivers surface resin in the kind of quantity she does, enough to harvest charas from if you have the skill, and we're talking about charas better than most made in the Himalayas, as you'll be ultra careful in its harvest, not something common over there. From my personal experience of spending most of the 70s in Kashmir, India, and Nepal learning about charas, as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan where I learned about hashish, I'm confident that Jackfrost is finer than anything I've ever seen, and I guarantee you won't have grown, or seen anything better. All challenges are welcome, in the form of seed, I'm always interested in 'Pushing the envelope!' - Agricolas-father of JackFrost.

Lowryder #2

Genetics: Santa Maria x Lowryder #2
Type: f1 Hybrid
Harvest Date: 9 weeks from Seed
Flowering Period: 6+ weeks
Seeds Per Packet: 10
Characteristics: Bushy, very early flowering plants with prolific budding.

The long-awaited successor to the Joint Doctor’s flagship strain is finally here. LowryderLOWRYDER AT 7 WEEKS.. 'NICE'.. #2 is the newest product of the breeder’s quest to improve the strength, yield and flavour of his original variety while maintaining the unusual characteristics that made it so popular.
Lowryder #2 has been infused with superior Santa Maria genetics, a variety known for copious resin production, exotic taste and soaring highs, it is an indica / sativa hybrid originally from Brazil. The cross was subsequently selectively inbred for three generations.
The result is an auto-flowering dwarf that yields a wonderfully strong, head-turning smoke with intoxicating taste. The strength and flavor is backed by copious resin production and much-improved yield and stability. Buds are larger, tighter and more aromatic than the original Lowryder. As with Original Lowryder, no separate room or light cycle is needed to flower Lowryder #2. Outdoors, Lowryder #2 will mature quicker than any non-auto-flowering variety.
Indoors, Lowryder performs very well in soil mix (pots or beds) or in soil-less systems, where it can be cultivated from seed to bud in two months – 18 hours of light per day is recommended all the way through. Switching light cycles down to 12 hours may diminish yields and shorten the already-short life cycle slightly. Because Lowryder's life cycle is so brief, cloning becomes impracticable, so only plants from seed are grown. By default, Lowryder is a great choice for sea-of-green. Because flowering plants and seedlings can be maintained in the same room, Lowryder presents new possibilities for the small to medium home grower, including “staggering” your indoor harvest. A true continuous harvest system may be achieved by planting new plants periodically to replace the ones that have been harvested. This ensures that a grow room is always full and always producing fresh bud, and one never has too much work at once.

For best results, place jiffy pellet or plant directly into 1-2 gal.pots. Alternatively, start in 4-inch peat pots, then place rootbound females into a plant bed after sexing (at approx. 17-20 days) – this may result in smaller plants than the first method. Grown under a 12 to 24 hour/daylight cycle from start to finish. I recommend 18 hours per day; this can be decreased to 16 after the first month with no loss of yield.

Outdoors: Lowryder @ 6 weekssow directly into soil after soaking, in 2 gal. pots or plant beds. New stands of Lowryder can be planted up until late summer, to ensure a continuous harvest outdoors. Avoid transplanting if you can, but do so if plants become rootbound. Rogue (remove) males at three weeks.

Growth Factors

Lowryder is extremely versatile in that it can be cultivated in virtually any climate or grow environment. In fact, it has pushed the envelope of growing, enabling early harvests in unlikely places like Finland, the North West Territories, and other northern, short-season, or high altitude areas. It is also well-adapted to backyard gardens, windowsills and patios where plants can be easily concealed because of their tiny size.

Nothing will mature earlier or faster than Lowryder! When other varieties have barely begun flowering, Lowryder outdoor growers are kicking up their feet and already enjoying their fresh harvests.

Characteristics

Lowryder virtually does away with the vegetative growth stage: it passes almost immediately from the seedling stage to the flowering period. To our knowledge, Lowryder has the shortest known life cycle and height in the cannabis species.
Male plants may be identified as such after approx. 17-20 days, while females show themselves a couple days later. Plants will even flower under a continuous light regime.
Lowryder females usually grow no taller than 16-20 inches. 12-16 inches is typical. Light intensity, pot size, and proper pH all play an important role in determining the size of plants at maturity – the better the conditions, the bigger the yield. Plants produce one main cola, although when they receive adequate light, lower nodes branch out profusely.

Yield and height are dependent on obvious growth factors. For example, plants kept in small peat cups on a windowsill may yield as little as 1 g. and grow no taller than 6 inches, with no branching whatsoever; while a plant in a 4-gallon container under high-intensity lighting and good cultivation methods, can turn into a profusely branched, two-foot wide 45-gram bud monster.

High is Lowryder Bud,, nice....uplifting, surprisingly strong. Well-rounded. Best suited for outdoor activities. Smoke is smooth with pleasant, earthy undertones. Smell is not overpowering. Unique flavor, with echoes of NL and William's Wonder in the bouquet. I've read on several websites and can personally attest to Lowryder 2's exceptional flowering capabilities. Left in a small peat cup it won't grow over 6", but if you put her in a 5 gal. pot; she'll top out at about 20" while producing 30-42 grams of super dense buds. A friend of mine grew his half of our ten seeds his beautiful lady towered to 30" and produced a 61 grams of resinous mouth-watering flowers, outdoors that is, and in sunny California not the bleeding Pennines. Out door grow advice as Lowryder 2 has a 60 odd day life span June/July would be the best time to start an outdoor grow, so they get two months of sun to grow under weather permitting rather than an often rainy Spring, obviously dependent on which latitude your on. Light Just figure out your latitude or whatever or guesstimate and this nifty chart will show you flowering time and veg time for your area.

Seed Germination

Presoaking - Put some moist tissues on a plate. Put the seeds on top of them and then put a layer of moist tissues on the seeds. Cover the plate with another upturned plate, so that the seeds are in darkness and the environment remains moist. Put the covered seeds in a warm place (21°C). Check the seeds every day, sprinkle the tissues if necessary and carefully transplant the seeds when they open and the white tip of the root becomes visible. Put the seed in a growth medium (soil), approximately the size of the seed under the surface (about 5 mm).

Transplanting - do this as little as possible by germinating in the same container you intend to grow the plant in for a significant period of time. Many growers experience low germination rate if the temperatures are out of range. A heating pad set to low or medium may be necessary, or a shelf constantly warmed by a light may do, but test it with a few seeds first, before devoting your next crop to it. "No Light" is necessary. Cover the seeds with black paper to keep light out.

Plan on transplanting only once or twice before harvest. Use the biggest containers possible for the space and number of seedlings you plan to start. Plants will suffer if continuously transplanted and delay harvesting. You will suffer too, from too much work! Cut holes in the bottom of containers and fill the last few inches at the top with vermiculite only. Since vermiculite holds water well, wicks water well, but does not hold too much water, roots always have lots of oxygen.

If grown to full maturity, in the correct conditions, cannabis seeds will generally be dark grey or brown, or striped in colour, and measure between 3-5mm in length, and 2-4mm in diameter, depending on its origins. This beautifully patterned outer shell, the perianth, plays the vital role of protecting the delicate embryo inside, and should be of a good hard nature, without cracks or chipping. When choosing the right marijuana seeds to grow, the general rule is the bigger and darker they are the better. Different varieties of the plant produce different looking seeds. From the almost cannon-ball shape of classic Afghan seed, to the darker, more stream-lined look of some Sativa varieties, cannabis once again proves just how diverse she is! cannabis seeds

Cannabis is an annual plant, it's life-cycle completed within a year usually, dying just after setting it's seed for the next year. To keep seed over winter months store in a cool dark, air-tight place, that stays dry. Be careful not to crush the marijuana seeds. They may look tough, but damage can easily be caused this way.

Discarding the obviously damaged, the very small, or very lightly coloured specimens, is the first step in the right direction for any budding grower, as this type of natural selection mimics exactly what nature would do.(If you purchase your seeds from Goldenseed you wont need to throw any away because all our seeds are carefully screened for any defects, guaranteeing you get only the healthy viable ones to start with).

Before we launch into a description of how to test the seed, let's talk about seeds a bit. We have all planted seeds, but how much do you really know about them? Learning more about seeds can help improve your success with them.

Seed Parts When you look at a seed you are looking at the seed coat. As people wear coats for protection from foul weather, seed coats perform much the same function. They provide protection against entry of parasites, against mechanical injury and, in some seeds, against unfavorably high or low temperatures.

Inside the seed coat is the embryo, an immature plant with all the parts of the adult plant. A close look shows leaves and a root -- they may be tiny but they are the beginnings of a plant. The seed's embryo leaves are called the "cotyledons." The seed is filled with "endosperm," food that will nourish the embryo during its early stages of development.

Germinating Seeds Germination is a fascinating process. Seeing a tiny seedling emerge from a dry, wrinkled seed and watching its growth and transformation, is observing the mystery of life unfolding. The first sign of germination is the absorption of water -- lots of water. This activates an enzyme, respiration increases and plant cells are duplicated. Soon the embryo becomes too large, the seed coat bursts open and the growing plant emerges. The tip of the root is the first thing to emerge and it's first for good reason. It will anchor the seed in place, and allow the embryo to absorb water and nutrients from the surrounding soil.

Some seeds need special treatment or conditions of light, temperature, moisture, etc. to germinate. Seed dormancy is very complex, but it protects that living plant material until conditions are right for it to emerge and grow.

Practical lessons can be learned from the seed:

* Seeds with bigger amounts of endosperm can feed the embryo plant longer, while it works its way toward light. Therefore, big seeds can usually be planted deeper.
* Seeds must absorb water to get germination going. Therefore, presoaking seeds may speed up the process.
* Available water is important to the newly emerged root. Therefore, you should plant seeds a little deeper in the middle of summer, when the top of the soil dries out quickly.

Interview with the Joint Doctor

History

At what age did you start using cannabis? How long after that did you start growing your own supply?

The funny thing is, I already knew a bit about growing long before I started smoking. As a teen, I remember tending to my father’s weed patch as part of my daily chores, and I certainly didn’t mind, as I found it rewarding to see them grow. My Dad – at the time, a breeder in his own right – never told me any B.S. about marijuana, warning that the worst danger about “grass” was the law. He wanted me to grow up with a healthy relationship with the plant, telling me that if I ever wanted to try cannabis, when I was ready, he wanted us to share my first joint. And that’s how it happened. I was 17 the first time we puffed up. I started growing my own around the same time, and found it quite easy. Living in the country certainly didn’t hurt, since there were plenty of spots to hide plants nearby.  Initially, I grew simply to provide myself with good weekend stash. During the summer, I began to smoke weed daily with my fellow farm-hands. Being high made the most tedious field jobs seem much more tolerable, even enjoyable. I only started growing a small number of plants, but I had some real beginner’s luck. The quality of my first homegrown stash was excellent, as we had some great outdoor strains back then, a bit of a rarity at the time. That year I started to show up in town on the week-ends with the craziest weed any of my school buddies had ever tried.

Do you prefer growing indoors or out? Bio or Hydro?

I have no special preference for either one, although I have more experience with outdoor cultivation. That is to say, they both have their pros and cons. For me, the ideal situation for growing would be in a greenhouse, where you could get the best of both worlds.  I certainly prefer working with natural, living soils and fresh, black compost that can sustain healthy biological activity and natural predators. When you start organic from the get-go, you don’t really want to go back. That being said, I am amazed by what some people can achieve with hydroponics.

Apart from Lowryder what other strains do you enjoy growing?

I like tasty strains and unusual plants. I love trying out new flavors and exotic types. But the strains I grow – or that I have grown in the past – are usually a function of environmental conditions and other constraints. It depends whether I’m setting up a small indoor grow, planting an outdoor crop, or embarking on a new breeding project. I like many different types of cannabis, ranging from old-school indicas to early-flowering sativas, to exotic landraces. Some of my favorites include William’s Wonder; Mazar-i-Sharif, Big Bud, Haze/NL, and a few other lesser-known brands, many of which have become hard or impossible to find. Of course, I still have limited resources, and in past years I devoted much of my attention to growing and improving my automatic flowering variety, Lowryder.  Unfortunately, because of the legal status of cannabis nowadays, I find it difficult to continue growing without unacceptable personal risk. In an attempt to legitimize my operation, it has become necessary to enlist producer(s) who are in a more tolerant environment or country, or who actually hold some kind of growing license.

Creation of Lowryder

Were you aware that cannabis plants could auto-flower before you saw it for yourself? Did you have the idea of Lowryder before you had the genetics to make the strain possible?

Yes, although I didn’t know how this “autoflowering” mechanism worked, genetically speaking. I had heard of ruderalis, and have seen many small-sized plants growing in the wild. Years ago I started trying out short strains like Mighty Mite – I found it all pretty intriguing. I had little doubt that fully automatic plants could be created. Back then, I even came out with my own short strain, unrelated to Lowryder, that I called 6-Way – but it was never commercialized, though I did try and sell some seeds to a certain Canadian seed magnate, to no avail. I also experimented with growing methods that could produce bonsai-like plants, such as delayed planting, growing in small pots and other types of stresses.

How and where did you acquire the auto-flowering genetics?

Many years ago I started trading seed with a new acquaintance, Antonio, who is now sadly passed on. A spry, dreadlocked Mexico expatriate, Antonio had been collecting and growing unusual strains for 30-plus years. We met through mutual acquaintances and became great friends, though he was old enough to be my dad. I learnt a great deal through him, and we shared a passion for collecting rare plants; from blue potatoes to poppies and hemp.  Getting to the point, one of the types of cannabis seed I acquired from Antonio was called “Mexican Rudy,” a strain which stayed short and flowered earlier than anything else we had. I didn’t know too much about it. At first the name seemed contradictory: “Rudy” almost certainly stood for ruderalis, a mythical, rare subspecies of wild cannabis from Siberia which has a short growth habit and quick life cycle; but I failed to see the link with Mexico, though it was the country of Antonio’s origin. Was this simply an unrelated ruderalis-like plant from Mexico, or did it have a link to the real thing?  Although no-one can be sure until some type of genetic fingerprinting is done, I now believe that the Mexican Rudy was actually an experimental cross of Russian ruderalis and Mexican cannabis, made sometime in the 1970s, possibly at the U. of Mississippi in the U.S. I found obscure references to this very cross in scientific literature circa 1978. In any case, the strain was kept and grown out in Canada for several years before it got to me. The Rudy was indeed a short, quick-flowering strain, with medium potency. To improve its taste, strength, and just to experiment a little, I crossed it first with a Northern Lights #2 female, then a William’s Wonder clone.  Out of the second generation of hybrids, a selection of extremely short and quick plants, flowering immediately under 24 hours of daylight, were selected for further multiplication. All the subsequent generations retained this “autoflowering” characteristic. The hybrid, dubbed simply Willy’s Automatic at first, became the basis for Lowryder. I grew the variety out on a small scale, selecting the best specimens for another five or six generations before it became commercialized.  Unfortunately, Antonio passed away before Lowryder’s commercial potential was realized. That’s the toughest part for me: I will never be able to properly thank him. At least, we can talk about him now and acknowledge his contribution with no fear of getting him in trouble. Bless you Antonio.

Strain’s Characteristics

What do you think is a realistic outdoor yield for the Original Lowryder?

Outdoors, you can get between 3-7 grams per plant. Indoors, you can double that amount with good lighting. And hydroponics growers can often achieve one ounce on a good plant. However, some plants typically remain smaller – with Original Lowryder (#1), once in a while you get a much smaller plant (the “micro” phenotype, as Lowryder growers have dubbed it). We haven’t had as many grow reports with Lowryder #2, but this new version should yield slightly more, as it has more prolific budding. The quality of the smoke is much improved.

Future

Lowryder makes home breeding projects both easier and quicker, how do you think this will affect your business?  And the cannabis seed market in general?

Lowryder is changing the seed industry. It makes it extremely easy to grow a few easily concealed plants, a fact that has opened up the market to just about anyone with a healthy curiosity and a desire to grow a little homegrown. It is an ideal plant for beginners to try, as one needs no special knowledge about light cycles and such. It can be grown in a backyard garden, patio, or closet, and harvested when ready, just like a radish! Autoflowering plants including Lowryder are leading to a significant increase in the home breeding and clandestine seed trading phenomenon. As it is very easy to produce one’s own Lowryder seed, many people from around the globe are trying growing for the very first time with success, often crossing Lowryder with local varieties to experiment and come up with their own version. This phenomenon can be observed on my website, where growers are invited to sign up and share their experiences. I struggle to keep up with all the new developments. I am really heartened by all the breeding and experimentation being done with my varieties. When a plant takes on a life of its own in this way, it’s got to be a good one! The whole thing is evolving as we speak.  Now, as a seed provider and breeder, you might think that I am losing business to this whole clandestine seed sector. But in fact, more new growers are attracted to Lowryder every day because of its ease to grow, through word-of-mouth. Most gardeners like to start with original seeds, so there will continue to be a health market for original Lowryder seeds for years to come. A key to this is keeping the seed prices affordable, so real Lowryder continues to be accessible to new growers, and also to discourage knock-offs.

The average person buying cannabis seeds in a hemp store or ordering a pack over the Internet is typically an amateur grower. Commercial or experienced growers often already have their own clones or seeds, and are not as preoccupied about trying new varieties, preferring to stick to a proven one. The small-time home grower, medical user or hobby gardener is more likely to experiment with new and different strains. So while Lowryder may never be espoused by commercial growers, it has been a great entry-level purchase for countless ordinary people of all ages, who don’t want to grow a ridiculously huge crop or take unnecessary risks. For this reason, shop owners have told me that Lowryder actually attracts new business, for example, the type of person who may not have tried growing before, and this has helped secure a permanent place for Lowryder in seed-selling shops and websites.
